Points to consider!

You want to do a studio recording with your ensemble?
At the TMCmusic studio we offer you a broad spectrum of recording and mixing possibilities which can also cater to special requests. Your music can resonate both in stereo and in 5.1 surround sound.

You want to record outside the studios?
We are at your disposal at any time or place; whether you want to make a recording of a concert or rehearsal, or simply prefer to record in familiar surroundings. In addition, mobile recording technology allows for the use of magnificent acoustic recording spaces. Our mobile recording studio offers all the technical possibilities needed to make excellent on site recordings.

You want a CD of a self-recorded concert?
We are happy to process your recording (mixing and mastering) and design a tasteful cover for you. Please understand that because our company name stands for the highest standards is audio quality, we can only work with recordings which meet a professional standard.

Who takes care of the GEMA (performance and mechanical reproduction licensing) arrangements?
We offer complete GEMA processing as a complementary part of the service. This includes title research in the event of uncertainties regarding the requirement for GEMA registration of a particular composition. Because of the relevance of this question in relation to the production costs (GEMA fees) of your CD, it is advisable to consult with us prior to recording.

You have particular, or no ideas on how the cover of your CD should look?
Our graphic designer Andreas Hale is happy to talk through your ideas in detail so that all your wishes are taken into account. In all cases you should give thought to the so-called “Credits”: Who contributed, when and where did the recording take place, precise details of the title / movements, information about the ensemble / soloists / conductors, should the lyrics should be printed etc.

How long does a CD production take?
Concert recordings, depending on their playing time, require one to two days for recording, one day for mixing and one day for mastering. The cover design takes circa one week (parallel to mixing and mastering of the CD) depending on the prearrangement and the work involved. The production time for studio recordings is around one to three weeks depending on the number of music pieces and their complexity. Following GEMA clearance, the pressroom guaranties the delivery of the finished CDs within 10 workdays of receiving the master copy. You can therefore expect to have the finished CD in the hand in circa three weeks for concert recordings, or three to five weeks for studio productions.
